UNIPOWER NAMES SHAWN KILMARTIN MANAGER OF ITS DUNLAP, TENN. PLANT

June 17, 2019 (Dunlap, TN) – UNIPOWER, a leading provider of AC and DC power systems for mission critical industrial and commercial applications, today named Shawn Kilmartin of Bryant, Alabama as manager of its Dunlap, Tennessee plant.

Responsible for overseeing daily operations at the new facility, Kilmartin’s background and experience includes more than two decades of plant and supply chain management positions where he has demonstrated “a strong ability to motivate and build effective teams with superior skills at sourcing, negotiations and organizational efficiency,” said John Ely, vice president of marketing for UNIPOWER.

“I am excited for the opportunity to work with a highly experienced production team and to put my operations experience to use at UNIPOWER,” said Kilmartin.  “It is great to get back into the energy market where the challenge lies in a combination of high-tech products intersecting with production throughput requirements.”

Kilmartin previously held a Supply Chain Manager role at a manufacturer of refuse equipment where he implemented and managed procurement for two divisions, implemented warehousing and on-site logistics operations and consolidated three ERP systems to two in less than three months without losing production time or slowing customer deliveries.

A magna cum laude graduate of Albertus Magnus College in New Haven, Connecticut with a bachelor of science and business management degrees, Kilmartin raises horses in his free time at his home in Bryant.
